HARPSICHORD No. 1

Dr. Matt performs on a single-manual, French-inspired harpsichord

built in 1962 by James S. Nicolson. (Mr. Nicolson is the Overseer of

the Boston Early Music Festival, and President of The Cambridge

Society for Early Music.)

HARPSICHORD No. 2

On the road, Dr. Matt tours with his single-manual, German-built

Neupert "Telemann" harpsichord (8', 4', "lute stop", and knee

lever) designed to fit into "tight" spaces, and intimate performance

venues.

TOY PIANO

For an even more theatrical element, Dr. Matt performs specific contemporary selections on an antique Schoenhut spinet toy piano. The delightful instrument has a keyboard similar to that of a piano, but requires a more percussive-like technique.
